Dr. Manuel Gigena has been in beautiful wine country, McMinnville, since 2007, as a General Surgeon before he left to pursue his true passion of becoming a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. He completed a three-year fellowship program in Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery/Hands at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. Dr. Gigena’s love for the community of Willamette Valley, brought him back to McMinnville, with his wife and four children.
Before owning and operating his private cosmetic surgical practice, Dr. Manuel Gigena started his journey of becoming an expert in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery through extensive training, education and work experiences since graduating from Medical School in 1998:

Nevenka “Nev” Gigena, B.Sci., CAE
Nevenka is a Certified Advanced Medical Aesthetician and Laser Specialist. She received her Bachelors of Science from The Ohio State University in 1999. After graduating from The Ohio State University, she worked at Kaplan, a Medical Educational System, where she met her husband, Dr. Manuel Gigena. He was studying for his medical boards at the time and two years later, they were married and traveled the country for more medical training and experience.
Nevenka has worked in various roles until she pursued her passion in the cosmetic laser field and non-surgical treatments of the face and body. She’s trained and licensed in Oregon, as well as Board Certified in the American Board of Laser Surgery. She has trained alongside some highly regarded and awarded advanced practice providers and advanced aestheticians in the cosmetic industry. She has a passion for getting you to look and feel your best from inside and out.
She specializes in laser hair removal, skin rejuvenation, removal and diminishing skin pigmentation/age spots, fibroblast plasma for wrinkles, micro-needling, body contouring, and skin tightening, to name a few.
Nevenka is a member of the Associated Skin Care Professionals and The American Board of Laser Surgery. She is always taking courses to learn the newest techniques and has learned a significant amount from the aesthetic eye of Dr. Manuel Gigena.
Nevenka, her husband, Dr. Manuel Gigena, and their four children live in Willamette Valley, where she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, touring beautiful wineries, camping, and skiing.
Maira, Certified Medical Assistant
Maira, born and raised in Oregon, is a certified medical assistant who has the willingness to help others whenever she can. She attended Pioneer Pacific College and graduated in 2015. Maira has been working in family practice for the last 7 years and has now decided to go into a specialty. She is bilingual and very much into soccer. When she is not at work you can find her on the soccer field with nephews.
Marisa, Licensed Advanced Aesthetician
Marisa’s her name and skin is her game.
Growing up Marisa always had empathy for those who were hiding behind their skin insecurities. She found her passion for Advanced Aesthetics in the science of implementing different modalities to treat a variety of skin conditions. She recently broadened her knowledge in the medical field to suit her helpful personality assisting Dr. Gigena as his Medical Assistant. She’s a small town girl with a spontaneous soul that finds joy in living a versatile life and keeping busy. When not working you can find Marisa performing the art of dance or exploring the outdoors hiking, snowboarding and riding atvs.
